Because his platelets were again below 20, they ordered another platelet transfusion. There is a concern due to his inability to hold platelets and the water he is retaining that he may have VOD, a liver complication that can happen with stem cell transplants. We had to go downstairs to do an extensive ultrasound on his liver (they used the word "doppler" and a lot of other descriptors, and it took over an hour).
That was really hard on him being out of bed and he was very anxious to get back in bed and be cozy again afterwards.
Maddie hung out for most of the day and enjoyed a nap in the sunny window bed while ZiLong was napping.
