Definitely more pain with mucositis today.  The doctors changed his pain medications to keep the morphine on a regular drip and to allow his self administered morphine pump to be active twice an hour instead of once an hour.  This along with regular tyelonol seems to be keeping the pain more manageable. It does not make him pain free, but it does offer some good relief.  ZiLong's platelets were still below 20, so he needed another platetelet transfusion today.

Jeremy spent the day at the hospital and Maddie and I went on a self guided walking tour of UC Berkley today- she liked the campus, but it would not be the school for her.  It's a beautiful campus though and it was a great day to walk around and see it.  

We came by the hospital afterwards and ZiLong was feeling well enough to be a little bit crazy and cranked up the bed to it's highest height and was standing on it so he could touch the ceiling!

Maddie and I left again for awhile to run some errands and go out for Hot pot for late lunch/early dinner.  ZiLong and Jeremy and I have had it, but this was Maddie's first time to try! ZiLong spent much of the afternoon sleeping, but asked for Maddie first thing when he woke up.

After dinner Maddie and I came back to the hospital and ZiLong perked up enough to play a couple of nintendo switch games with her! He wanted to try eating so we made some noodles, but he was only able to eat 1 or 2 noodles and it was too painful. He did manage to eat a couple of very small bites of vanilla ice cream.  It's really hard to want food but not be able to eat!

I took Jeremy and Maddie back to the hotel and ZiLong and I settled in for the night. He is doing amazingly well, and I hope the mucositis is fast healing.
