Good news of the day, No platelet transfusion! Yay! Today was also Hania and Ahbi's last day at Benihoff, AND the day they told us that he was officially Engrafted. That means ZiLong was allowed to pet and cuddle Ahbi again without gloves. Unfortunately, Jeremy did not take any photos, so I only have the one to share today.  ZiLong had a going away party with friends a few days before we left for Oakland, and the boys made tie dye shirts.  We had the idea to have all the doctors, nurses, housekeepers, etc- everyone who has come into the room and done anything for him- sign the shirt.  Last week Hania signed Ahbi's name on the front, but ZiLong came up with the idea for Ahbi to sign it herself by having her paw print traced on the back.  This will be such a sweet memory of all the people who cared for him while he was here.

I was able to volunteer at my regular friday afternoon food pantry gig- it's always nice to see the other volunteers and all of the people who come each week.  Maddie and Violet and I hung out  a bit after school before Maddie left for the coast for the weekend with friends. 

 Violet had a Lacrosse game, so it was really nice to be home to be able to cheer her on at her game! They lost, but she did have one good run with the ball.   Their team is very small, they don't actually have enough JV players to play a game, so they either have to play down 1 or 2 players against another team, or have players from their varsity team play their games, which occasionally happens. They have not won any games yet, but they are learning a lot.

 They also received their lacrosse sweatshirts today.

The other exciting news of the day was that Violet received her referee badge! She did the online training two weeks ago and had her in person training right after, so she has been waiting for her referee badge so she can start to ref soccer games.  That came today and now she is excited to start her first official job!
