WBC: 1.5 (up!)
ANC: 290 (Up!!)
Hemglobin: 9.3 (up! Thanks to blood transfusion)
Platelets: 50! (WAY UP!)
The platelets were the biggest surprise of the day! That high number meant no blood or platelet transfusions today, and more importantly for ZiLong, no benadryl!! He did not sleep well the last two nights because of all of the benadryl in his system, so he was quite relieved to not have to do any of that today.
There were some tears this morning out of boredom, but also largely due to not sleeping well last night, but the Ahbi came to visit with Hania again and then he took a nap in my sunny window bed.
d weekly ultrasound to check the status of his liver from the VOD, but our Doctor thinks things are definitely going in the right direction and he is very happy with how he is doing. This was very different from last week's ultrasound where he still felt pretty awful and was wheeled down in a wheelchair. This time he walked out of the unit and went down to the 2nd floor with Jeremy and his nurse and walked back up afterwards.
He was much perkier and even though the 45 minute ultrasound was a bit boring, I think the little time out of this area did him good! The evening was much better and he seems to be feeling happier!
