ANC: 140 (up!)

Hemoglobin: 9.3 (up!)

Platelets: 28 (up!)

It's an "UP" sort of day!  Though there was a bit of grouchiness today as the long weekend days tend to be slow with fewer doctors and other folks like Child life, PT, Psychology, Palliative care, etc. Since his platelets were still below 30, he also needed a platelet transfusion, which comes with Benadryl which he also hates, so the earlier part of the day was not super fun.  

Since we could not participate in any of the nationwide protests, we made our own little protest sign for our hospital room!  

By late afternoon one of our friends on the floor, Ariana, wanted to know if ZiLong wanted to come out and play soccer in the hallway.  She and her family live in Oakland and she received her transplant a week before ZiLong, so they are excited to be heading home fairly soon, but we have really enjoyed getting to know she and her family!

They had fun with pop darts and some soccer.  The other highlight of the day was ZiLong getting to try a tik tok mug cake recipe using oreos and milk. I have to say, it turned out pretty tasty!
