WRICE!

At least this is sort of how it sounds when Maddie says it...
Around the middle of last week Maddie started in on daily pleas of "WRICE! WRICE!" But everytime I offered her white rice she looked and instantly said "No!" No, our girl wanted Fried Rice! And she would not stop until she got some! So finally on the 3rd day of the pleading, we were planning to get a pizza for her and the babysitter, but at the last minute changed our minds and ordered Chinese from our favorite seafood restaurant. One order of Veggie fried rice....let's see if the girl is serious about it...

For the next 2 days after she was in a constant state of "Wrice! Wrice! Wrice!" At lunchtime on Sunday, "Wrice!" Dinnertime sunday, "Wrice!" The drive home on Monday sounded like this:

Wrice! Wrice! Wrice!
Honey would you like some rice when we get home?
Wrice! Wrice!
Okay, you can have some rice when we get home honey.
Wrice! Wrice! Nu nu!
Would you like some Nu nu's for dinner?
Nu nu!
Okay, you can have Nu nu's for dinner. (noodles- as in, mac & Cheese)
Wrice! Wrice! Wrice! Wrice!
It's okay honey, you can have rice- we have rice, but you have to wait until we get home. We'll be home soon.
Wrice! Wrice! WRICE! (anxiety and volume increasing....)

Yup, that was the ride home. And all 3 times she ate fried rice, she ate her bodyweight in rice. This girl LOVES rice. She can spot a vegetable for removal at 50 yards, but rice & egg, oh yeah. I was pretty worried how Tuesday's drive home would be since we were out of rice, but the good thing is we had potato- she was happy enough to replace rice with Potato, at least for one night...

Ha!! That's so cute! Your girl knows what she likes. Maybe I'll start identifying my food preferences in one-word, ever louder utterances. "Good evening; I'll be your server tonight. Can I take your order?"

ribs! ribs! RIBS!

"OK, anything else?" RIBS RIBS RIBS RIBS RIBS!

So funny... our Maddie says nu-nus as well. The girl loves her noodles so she says it as often as your Maddie says wrice! :)
