A Year ago today this amazing child was placed in my arms with big eyes and a scared look on her face, in the loud, crowded, brightly lit Civil Affairs office in Guangzhou.
One Year ago we became a family, and today we celebrate this amazing little one in our lives! Happy First Family day Madeline!
You have grown and changed and gone from a scared little girl to a confident toddler who will make dining room chair proclamations at the top of her little voice while Mama and Baba roll with laughter! It is utterly amazing that we could be so lucky to have been chosen as Madeline's Parents. To the mystery worker in the Matching Room in Beijing, you have changed our lives forever! Thank you for helping to make our family!
